Sharing God’s Love

Sharing God’s love, both locally and globally, is central to our
understanding of how we live our faith in this world. There are
several organized ways that we do this.

The Wilton Food Pantry began in 2013 as a cooperative
ministry between Sunne Lutheran Church, the Wilton Senior
Center, the Wilton Ministerial Association, and the Great
Plains Food Bank. Located in the Wilton Senior Center,
(42 Dakota Ave), the Wilton Food Pantry distributes
food on the third Thursday of the month from 3-5pm. There
are no eligibility requirements. People in the Wilton, Regan,
Wing, and Baldwin areas are welcome to use the Pantry.
Donations can be dropped off weekdays from 8am to 1pm. Sunne
also serves as the fiscal agent for the Pantry.  Financial
donations should be made payable to Sunne.

Sunne shares God’s love globally through the ELCA World Hunger
efforts and through Lutheran World Relief school kits, personal
care kits, baby care kits, and quilts.

Quilts are put together at the church every Wednesday from 10am to 3pm
during the school year. Work can also be done at home. Over the years,
Sunne Quilters have put together and shipped thousands of quilts. Sunne
Quilters also make quilts that are used locally for those who have
emergency or special needs.  The Quilters also make quilts for our
graduating high school seniors.
