Wilton Mentor Program
     2014 Program Leadership Backpack Trip Information

          Travel with other youth and several adults to the Red Lodge,
          Montana area to spend 4 days inthe Beartooth Wilderness-
          hiking, climbing a mountain, fishing, relaxing, and team building.

          The experience is open to anyone in grades 7-12. There will be
          at least two groups thisyear. One group will make a less rigorous
          journey. The otherwill make a more rigorous journey.

          The groups leave on Sunday, July 27th  and return on Friday, August 1st.

          Thanks to donations from area organizations, individuals, and the
          United Way, the suggesteddonation for the trip is only $50.
          This includes travel, motel, food, and backpacking equipment needs.

          All you need to provide is clothing and hiking boots. You will also
          want some spending money for the trip to and from Red Lodge. If you
          plan to fish, you will need to buy a fishing license for Wyoming.

Those who become part of the program are expected to give a
minimum of 5 hours of volunteer time working in the Wilton and
Wing communities. The first opportunity will be on
Join Hands Day, Saturday, May 3rd from 10am to 2pm.

The Wilton Mentor Program is a community-based non-profit organization that seeks to strengthen relationships between youth and youth, and youth and adults.
